There’s a firmware upgrade of the SB-500 Speedlight. (02.03.2017)

 

Here is a link to the English update site SB-5000 v14.002.

Changes with this version fixed the following issues:

  • Zoom (angle of illumination) did not function as expected at low temperatures.
  • When AF ONLY (AF assist illumination activated, flash function cancelled) was selected for Custom menu > AF-assist illumination/cancelling flash function, pressing the shutter-release button halfway after restarting the standby timer or after turning on the camera would not activate the AF-assist illuminator.
