Nikon today introduces two new 1 NIKKOR zoom lenses: the powerful 1 NIKKOR VR 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6 super-telephoto and the versatile 1 NIKKOR VR 10–30mm f/3.5–5.6 PD-ZOOM. Offering precision and portability, both of these new CX-format lenses combine with Nikon 1 cameras to enable fast, spot-on shooting.
The outstandingly portable 1 NIKKOR VR 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6 lens frees Nikon 1 photographers to enjoy high-speed, handheld telephoto shooting. The perfect partner for the new Nikon 1 V3, this lens is a prime example of the Nikon 1 size and speed advantage over D-SLR cameras when it comes to using long lenses. The powerful new 1 NIKKOR VR 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6 lens takes portable, handheld telephoto shooting to a whole new level. Boasting a remarkably compact build, this precision long lens frees Nikon 1 shooters to capture super-telephoto images at high-speed and without using a tripod: paired with a Nikon 1 V-series camera like the new Nikon 1 V3, you have the ideal combination with which to capture distant action. The incredibly thin 1 NIKKOR VR 10–30mm f/3.5–5.6 PD-ZOOM joins the 1 NIKKOR lineup in place of the 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Super-small and remarkably lightweight, this new lens offers superb portability and instant shooting, delivering higher image quality and smoother zooming for stunning photos and movies.The broad 10-30mm zoom range (35 mm equivalent: 27–81 mm) offers the versatility to frame wide camera angles, or zoom out to capture distant subjects with ease. The electric power-drive zoom and power zoom ring enable swift, smooth zooming and intuitive operation, which is especially handy when filming or when you want to keep pace with the action. Equipped with a retractable lens mechanism and an electronic lens cover rather than a lens cap, this thin lens captures even the most unexpected photo or movie moments without delay. Both of the new 1 NIKKOR zoom lenses feature the latest Nikon lens technology for superior image quality. The high-quality optical design of the 1 NIKKOR VR 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6 lens ensures sharp, high-contrast images throughout the aperture range: one Super ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element reduces chromatic aberration and Nano Crystal Coat greatly reduces ghosting and flare. The 1 NIKKOR VR 10–30mm f/3.5–5.6 PD-ZOOM lens boasts four aspherical lens elements and an ED glass element, which correct unwanted aberrations and distortions for images with superior resolution and contrast. Nikon’s Vibration Reduction (VR) system is incorporated in both lenses for clear, blur-free images throughout the zoom range, especially when shooting at slower shutter speeds.
